Step by step tutorial for the meshing, simulation and posprocessing of a structural analysis including plasticity. The case is the pressure burst of a gas tank. This is the project template to start from having just the geometry.

I have tried to find the displacement and von Mises stress of the mounting plate when subjected to a pressure of 1MPa on the cut out section in plate. It is fixed at back with the 4 bolts.
The model is generated by me using Creo 2.0 and uploaded as a .stp file.

This is kind of protective structure. The material used in this model is hypo elastic polyvinyl alcohol (pva) sponge.
