Determine prop efficiency at zero prop angle

Propeller will be inclined to 30 degrees into incoming flow, for comparison with 0 angle

Checking cl and cd values against NACA results. Using mesh fineness of 0.8 and about 4M cells gives  Cl of 0.84 and Cd of 0.046, which is within 6 and 29 percent of NACA data (after correcting for 12.7 Aspect Ratio). I did not use regional mesh refinements,

Goal is to see effect of prop on wing drag

Will add two more propellers to wing for total of three. One of them is at wingtip, rotating against Wing-tip vortex

Set up an MRF on an empty disc and then putting a fan momentum object right after it, to achieve propeller-like simulation without having to use lots of cells in mesh refinement. But it looks like an MRF region has to have something inside of it - no vortex was achieved in an empty MRF.

Rough n demnstratiomodel of a 2 pass shell and tube heat exchanger. Geometry made with FreeCAD, which turned out to be quite a headache (probably due to my inexperience with the product). Temperature profiles look reasonable. Hot fluid enters inlet pipe. Cool water enters shell. Hot fluid cools down and cold fluid heats up as expected.

Simulation of 2-pass, shell and tube heat exchanger

Simple parallel flow heat exchanger using FreeCAD and SimScale. Results show hot stream cooling and cold stream heating up, as expected. This was my first success at getting heat exchanger to work with SimScale. Trick was getting the two fluid volumes extracted correctly. SimScale is so far very encouraging - very easy to use. I will try to post a heat exchanger tutorial.

Testing modeling with FreeCad and running on SimScale. Got proper velocity profile: developing flow near entry region, eventual developed flow with classic turbulent profile. Appears to work well! 
For FreeCad model I made a cylinder, then subtracted out another smaller diameter cylinder from it. Voila, a pipe. Saved it as STEP file and imported into SimScale. Extracted the volume as shown in SimScale video on Youtube. Ran it as incompressible, turbulent, after setting inlet, outlet and wall conditions (see SimScale tutorial on branching pipe flow).
