One of the greatest engineering challenges facing battery developers is the ability to ensure effective thermal management.1 Failure to do so, impacts the performance, charge / discharge efficiency, durability and mean time between failures therefore there is a critical need to operate within the safe bounds of temperature operation whilst minimising heterogeneous temperature distribution
