About this project
Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) plays a important role in the design of such 3D printers. During operation of 3D printers, high temperatures are occur in the internal compartment of the device. This temperature difference is the driving force of the air flow inside the printer. Such a flow is known Natural Convection Heat Transfer. Using CFD to resolve the flow allows for the estimation of the average temperature, high temperature areas, flow re-circulation areas, inside the 3D printer, among others.
