This is an attempt to model a typical arctic pipe water main with circulating glycol freeze protection. As of 21Jun20, this project is not complete and should not be used as the basis for any new work until this note is removed.

Upper section only of two phase bypass pipe project.

This is an attempt to model a situation where air is being entrained into a water diversion pipeline. The pipeline is used to divert a small amount of creek flow from one basin to another for hydroelectric power generation.  The pipeline entry is near horizontal and then drops off rapidly to 15 percent grade.  The goal is to estimate the volume of air entrained in order to size the proper air venting valves.

In this exercise, we will consider the deflection of a cantilever beam with a concentrated load at the free end. We can calculate the deflection by hand and via a static analysis using the SimScale platform.

Incompressible Fluid Flow analysis of two globe valves

In this exercise, you will perform a simple heat transfer analysis on the SimScale Platform and then compare the results to a hand-calculated solution.

In this exercise, you will use linear static analysis to analyze several configurations of an aircraft engine bracket under a vertical load.
